The First EME Station in Gulf Currently on 432 MHz and soon on 144 MHz and 1296 MHz. |
Rig : Yaesu FT-847 Antenna : Modified 3 meters Dish Rotator : Homebrewed El/Az (full 90/360 deg.) using a linear actuator arm for elevation and a gearmotor + reduction sprockets and belt pullies for azimuth. Downconverter : AIDC3733 from TransSystem, modified by K5GNA. Patch-Feed : A 3 bands (70cm/23cm/13cm), dual circularity (RHCP/LHCP) used for both satellites and EME (moonbounce). Linear Amp. : Not needed at all! .. with that setup I got a gain of 18dB on UHF, 31dB on 23, and 35db! on 2401MHz. So I can easily switch on "leila" on AO-40 with as low as 10 Watts! .. and I can hear the MB of the sat more than 30db over! .. besides that I can hear my echos when transmitting 50 W to my vertical 2m/70cm antenna (Cushcraft ARX270b) to the FO-29 and AO-10 and ven on AO-7! |
