Many of the stations that I have spoken to have
asked me
"Don what is Pretoria like?"
I will try and give you some idea on this page with some
photos. Now I am no expert on the city I only live here.
I moved to Pretoria in March 1975 a move for the better I may add. Pretoria
is
a city that is built in and on and around Mountains and Hills. All this adds
that
little something to the city. Another thing that is this city is Universities
and Technicons
as well as other places of learning.
Pretoria, is the capital city of South Africa with the net result you many
Government
Departments all that goes with it. You also have the HQ for the Army
and Air Force
in the city.
You also have a number of old buildings going way back to the various African
tribes
that settled in what is now Pretoria. This city was also the Capital of the
old ZAR
South African Rep. of the then Boer Republic. That was taken during the Boer
War.
So history wise it has a long one.
