EAST LONDON HAMS SHOWING INTEREST IN VHF DIGITAL
Following the recent burst of activity on VHF from the East London area (KF37) during the PEARS VHF Contest, Barry ZR2DX enquired from the Border Radio Club Chairman, Richard Seddon ZS2CLI, how come no East London hams were pursuing VHF Digital operations. Richard's response was: "We don't do digital modes because we don't know anything about them." Plans are now being made for a demonstration and workshop on VHF Digital modes to be held in East London for all interested operators. Interest has already been shown by ZS2CLI, ZS2ZA and ZR2GB, with several more expected to join in.
