February GQN Roundup

Howdy folks, what an absolute banger of an evening on Saturday! Several stations took advantage of good band conditions and made contacts on 1W and I even heard a DX contact being made. It is great to see so many QRPp contacts, and it shows how much can be achieved with so little.

Thanks to those who have already sent in their logs. The rules haven't been updated yet but I will be extending the cut-off time for log submission so don't stress about being too late getting those in.

Stan ZL3TK discovered an error in the logging spreadsheet calculation. This error adds one point if the other station is QRPp (should be 2 bonus points, was 3). You can send in your existing spreadsheet and I will fix the bug as they come in, or you can use the corrected version of the spreadsheet attached to this email. I will advise any affected stations of the corrections to their scores as a result.

Announcing the new GQN Discord server

I've created a Discord server for GQN. For those that don't know what Discord is, it is a chat, messaging and social platform where communities form "servers" with topic channels, voice and video chat, image and file sharing etc. Creating a Discord account is free, you just need an email to sign up (get Discord here: https://discord.com/download)

I noticed a few operators running up to the time limit on the 40 meter band. If you think that extending the time for 40 meters would be desirable, please let me know.
