About the GQN contest
The Go QRP Nights contest is held monthly, and points are tallied until the end of the year when the winners are announced. The contest has a power limit of 10W.
The aim of the contest is to encourage low power operation. The contest is designed to reward effort and participation under challenging RF and environmental conditions.
This year, there are several award categories:
GQN award, for the operator with the most total points
CW award, for the operator with the most CW points
Band awards for the most points on 40 meters and 80 meters
QRPp award, for the operator with the most QRPp points
DX award, for the operator with the most DX points
Brass monkey award, for the operator who scores the most portable points in winter.

40 meters

For the purposes of efficient CW operation, Stan ZL3TK devised the following recommended CW exchange string, to minimise contact time and improve your score. You can use any other way of exchanging the required data, of course.
