YL GET-TOGETHER
AT PAENGAROA by
Bev ZLlOS The combined Bay of Plenty Amateur Radio Clubs are holding an Amateur Radio Market Day in the Paengaroa Hall on State Highway 33 on March 3 2001. This Market Day was held for the first time in March 2000 and it was a huge success. It is a great opportunity to hold a YL Get-Together for all the YLs from the combined clubs and for any other YLs who may wish to attend. The YLs who attended the first Get-Together found that it was a great opportunity to meet with one another. The Paengaroa Hall is very well suited for this, there is the Comvita Factory close by which has a factory shop attached, also a lovely garden to wander through and an antique shop which has loads of treasure stashed away for those who are interested in just browsing. All of the above is within walking distance of the Hall. If you are interested in picking up a bargain at the Radio Clubs Market Day there will be plenty to chose from if the last Market Day is anything to go by. Let the OM browse and chat to the other OMs whilst we YLs meet with our YL friends and catch up with all the happenings and have an enjoyable cuppa together. Bring a YL friend. For those of you who don't know where Paengaroa is, it is situated between Te Puke and Rotorua just a few kms out of Te Puke. A great opportunity to visit the sunny Bay of Plenty, make a weekend of it. I am sure that you will be pleased you did. See you there. If you have any queries contact Laureen ZLlBTP [email protected] or Bev ZLlOS [email protected]
