Pye P125 Seeker vHF AM
Mobile Radio
The P125 Seeker was used by the Ministry of Transport in patrol vehicles
during the 1980s' and was still in use in 1992 when the Traffic Safety
Service and Police merged. It was fitted to both cars, and motorcycles
(using a remote control head).
The seeker operated in the 81-88 MHz "A" band where the Ministry
of Transport operated 10
AM channels
This
radio was also used in conjunction with the P425 UHF FM radio and the
Pye Linkline interface
unit as a mobile crossband repeater
