LZ DX Contest
The Bulgarian Federation of Radio Amateurs has the honour to invite
amateurs all over the world to participate in the LZ DX CONTEST.
| 1. Date and Period | Each third weekend of November from 12:00 UTC on Saturday till 12:00 UTC on Sunday (1999 20/21 November). |
| 2. Band and Mode | 80; 40; 20; 15 ; 10 m according to IARU Region I band plan. CW only. Band changes are allowed after being on the same band for 10 min. |
| 3. Categories | A - Single Operator/Multi Bands (SOMB) B - Single Operator/Single Band (SOSB) C - Multi Operators/Multi Bands/Single Transmitter (MOMB) D - SWL |
| 4. Exchange | RST plus ITU Zone of the transmitting station. |
| 5. Points | 6 points for each QSO with LZ station. 3 points for each QSO with other continent. 1 point for each QSO with the same continent. |
| 6. SWL Points | 3 points for two call signs and two numbers. 1 point for two call signs and one number. |
| 7. Multiplier | The sum of ITU zones on each band. |
| 8. Final Score | The sum of QSO points multiplied by final multiplier. |
| 9. Logs | In standard forms. Separate logs for each band are required. A summary sheet showing

| 10. Deadline | 30 days after the contest (post seal being decisive). |
| 11. Awards | Cat. B - first three scores in the world on each band - awards. Cat. A and C - first three scores in the world - awards. Cat. D - first three scores in the world - awards. A special plaque will be awarded to the first of the top ten list category A and category C. |
| 12. Remarks | Bulgarian stations have separate entries. Logs may be accompanied by applications for BFRA awards: W-100-LZ, 5 Bands LZ, Black Sea, Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria, W-28-Z ITU. |
