I am a amateur radio operator. Obviously as stated above, my callsign is WX4CHR. I am normally active on 10 and 20 meters but also on 2 meters as well. I was the secretary of the South Canadian Amateur Radio Society in Norman, Oklahoma until I moved to August 2008. However, the website that I designed for them is still active and I maintain it to this day. You can't find a friendlier bunch of hams that can help you start out in ham radio.
In my vehicle, I run a Kenwood D700 Dualband radio connected to a AVMAP G4T for APRS beaconing. In addition, I have a Yaesu 857D attached to an ATAS 120A automatic tuning antenna. This is where I seem to run most of my HF operations.
In my home, I run an Icom 735 HF attached to a rotatable dipole for 10 and 20 meters. I also run a Yaesu 857D attached to another ATAS 120A automatic tuning antenna where I run 40 meters up to 6 Meters. I also have an Icom 2720 dual band radio to monitor the local repeaters.
