This is the home of Meraldo (GONZI) Gonzales, as well as the location of the guest house facilities and our HEARO hamshack. Two more apartments are being build below on the south (opposite) face, and a second location is already open though minus the hamshack for now. Neighbors in the immediate area also rent quite reasonably, as well as our friends right down on the beach, so we can handle a wide variety and numbers of visitors. The guest house here at this time is two bedrooms on the main floor, with a bath between. The smaller 10x14 bedroom has one queen size bed, while the larger 14x17 bedroom has both a queen and a double size beds. Depending on your own preferences and bunking arrangements, 3-5 persons could be quite comfortable right here in the main house and right above the hamshack. For the average motel/hotel room on the island, even in the �off� summer months season, they are asking $125 per night / per person / AND based on double occupancy ! We do not believe in that nonsense or in seasonal rates - you come when you want to and alone or with friends - the room rates are the same. If one extra person or so, and we can figure bunking arrangements, there would only be small surcharge for towels and the like. Contact us for current rates, and bear in mind, this INCLUDES use of the hamshack.... General interest items ( U.S. Citizens ) may be - the language is English - with a bit of island �patois� here and there, but you will catch on fast. Currency is equally easy as it is the U.S. dollar (greenstamps). No passports or visas required, but you will have to have picture ID and a birth certificate or copy is a good idea if you are not carrying a U.S. passport. YOUR callsign is perfectly o.k. used with the portable /KP2 - no special license required. AND it is a duty free port - AND customs DOUBLES your allowance for purchases in the V.I.
