Our client company is a rapidly-growing, public, successful Communications
company. We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Engineering
staff. Location is in San Jose, California. Compensation consists of a very
competitive base salary and an attractive stock option.

Here's the position description:

Senior Staff Signal Integrity Engineer

Responsibilities:
In this highly visible role you will be responsible for defining "safe
design space" guidelines for high frequency, fast transition signaling. You
will use state of the art simulation tools in both the time and frequency
domain to assess timing, noise margin, crosstalk, signal loss and signal
integrity of all clock and critical data signaling in high performance
switching systems. You will work closely with
Board and System designers to assess tradeoffs and provide design guidance
and review. You will enable the team to achieve first pass design success.
You will assess component and packaging technologies to determine
suitability and fitness for use in high performance switch design.

Requirements:
10 years or more of experience in the analysis and design of high
performance systems. Have established a track record of success in the area
of signal integrity analysis. Be able to work with a team in a
collaborative and effective manner. Be proficient in the use of analysis
tools for time and frequency domain analysis. Be proficient in
understanding of technology and packaging materials tradeoffs for high
frequency (>2Ghz), fast transition signaling.
