When
Patches was younger, she and Melissa, my wife's cat of many years until
she died a couple of years ago, had a definite mutual admiration society. I don't know if Melissa considered Patches as her offspring since Patches was much younger, but scenes like this one were not uncommon for the first few years of their life together. Later, of course, they adopted the usual "king (queen) of the mountain", dominant / subservient relationship common between adult cats. |
