Currently all I have installed in the family vechicle is a HTX-202 portable connected to a Comet 2 meter/70cm vertical for FM mobile use. Once in a while I will connect the Kenwood TH-D7A with APRS capabilty. Sometimes you will see WA7RF-7 on the APRS system broadcasting from our Surburban instead of my Taurus. I have the following equipment waiting for my time to install them.
Icom-706 MKII 160-2 meters all mode connected to a High Sierra HS-1500 screwdriver antenna and the Comet 2 meter/70cm vertical. I may install a 2 meter loop for weak signal work on 144 mhz also.
