How/Why is T.R.A.S.H. involved with meshtastic/meshcore?
We call it TRASHTASTIC! (or TRASHCORE)
We do have several meshtastic/meshcore sites installed and operational. We like meshcore better! We have converted most of our MT sites to MC!

W7FED has built several meshtastic & meshcore "nodes" and placed them at strategic locations throughout New Mexico and West Texas to "enhance" the coverage area
T.R.A.S.H. is already at several great mountaintop locations, so why not add TRASHTASTIC/TRASHCORE?
We love any form of radio communications and technology, and we love to build things!
We have had meetups in the Albuquerque area to encourage meshers to "mesh" in person and share / learn from each other.
It's open to ALL, ham or not. You do not need a license to use meshtastic/meshcore!
