160 Meter Antenna
This first picture shows the switchbox at the base of the crank up tower

A short piece of coax is taken from one of the switch outputs
At the end of that coax the braid is connected to a non-moving part of the crankup
about ten feet high
and the center wire connected to a quarter wave length of copper, #12 THHN insulated
While visiting W5UN south Texas home
he used this type on 160 and another tower on 80
his advice was to get the wires high enough so it didn't interfere with lawn work

The crankup on the right is the radiator for 160 meters. It works well if the tower is cranked up at least 50 feet plus

have fun and GL with the DX
