I am originally from Paintsville, KY and have also lived / worked in Conneaut, OH, Baldwinsville, NY, Buckhannon, WV, Weston, WV, Lake Wales, FL, Winter Haven, FL, Tampa,FL and Rome, GA.
In May, 2002, I retired from Velda Farms in Winter Haven, FL as their Chief Plant Engineer. Prior to working for Velda Farms, I was employed by Anheuser-Busch for 17 years and retired as an Area Maintenance Manager in May 1999.
I received my amateur radio license (WD8MHV) from the FCC in May, 1977, while living in Conneaut, OH. In August, 1997, I applied to the FCC for the amateur radio call of W4RLD which was issued to me in September, 1997.
My hobbies include amateur radio, flying (I am a private pilot), golf and computers. Most of my amateur radio operating time is on HF (7.278 ± QRM @ 7:30 AM and 7.178 @ 5 PM ) with some 2 meters. I am a member of the Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club in Wilmington, NC.
I hope you enjoy visiting the following amateur radio and miscellaneous links
