All hamfests are held on Sunday (typically opening at 8:00 am, 6:30 am for vendors) unless otherwise stated.
Dates listed as TBD have not been set yet, but are listed according to last year's date.
Provided as a service to area hams.  Accuracy of information should be confirmed prior to attending.

*Volunteer Examiner (VE) License Testing:

Bring photo ID, original license, any CSCEs, and photocopies of license and CSCEs.  Nominal fee (typically $10) usually charged
Save time by filling out FCC Form 605 in advance.
Click here for details on what to bring

Notes for Vendors:

Each hamfest sets it own vendor rules, but here are some guidelines.  Vendors should always contact the hamfest committee for specific vendor requirements, last minute prices, etc.

  • Check to see if the hamfest has reduced rates for advanced sales, and what the deadline is
  • Some hamfests permit early setup the day before, and may permit overnight camping (always check first!)
  • The tax collectors have been frequenting the hamfests - commercial vendors should have their paperwork (e.g., tax or license certificates) in order
  • Most hamfests limit what you can sell - always check first.  Few permit food/drink sales which would compete with the club's food concessions.
  • If you need electric power, always check first to be sure it will be available.  Tables with electric are usually first come, first served, so get there early.
  • Most hamfests are held rain or shine.  Tailgaters should be prepared with tarps, canopies, etc.  Be prepared for hot sun in the summer - bring shade and something to drink.
  • Bring extra money to be able to make change (you might miss a sale if you can't change that $20!)
  • If you plan to spread your wares out on the ground, bring a ground cloth or table - the ground may be damp
  • Arrive on time.  Many hamfests don't like earlier arrivers, and if you get there too late, you'll miss the bargain hunters who usually show up early prepared to buy.
  • If permitted, consider selling items which might attract kids and XYLs to keep the ham at your table longer
  • Be prepared to quote a price for your items.  Consider price tags for customer convenience.
