W4NCH Repeaters

In Development, Scheduled On Air Q1-Q2 2023

220 MHz Repeater

224.980 -1.6 MHz Offset, 88.5 Hz PL Tone

The W4NCH 220 machine is currently in development and testing, and is planned to be on air some time between early and mid 2023. It will be serving the New Hanover and Pender county areas of coastal North Carolina. The repeater will transmit on 224.980 MHz with a -1.6 MHz offset, and a 88.5 Hz tone.

Here is some of the major components of the repeater:

- 2X TYT TH-9000D Radios for TX and RX
- Arcom RC210 Repeater Controller
- Childs Antenna Company BASE-220 Antenna
- 220 MHz Duplexer with a whopping 10 cavities! It works well, though.

440 MHz Repeater

444.250 +5 MHz Offset, 88.5 Hz PL Tone

After working towards the primary goal of the 220 repeater, I realized that as I had went, I had built up a stock of extra parts, and I decided I could put those to use in a 440 repeater that will be at the same site as the 220 machine. It will transmit on 444.250 with a +5.0 MHz offset, and a 88.5 Hz tone. It will be linked on a part-time basis with the 220 repeater, and the two repeaters will be running off the same controller.

Here is some of the major components of the repeater:

- 2X Motorola CDM 750 UHF Radios for TX and RX
- Arcom RC210 Repeater Controller
- Childs Antenna Company Base-4403 Antenna
- Decibel Products DB-4072 Duplexer
