Log Update, QRT Date, 160M for JA

Logs - Log updated and includes all QSO up to 19/04/02 06:43

QRT Date - This DXpedition was scheduled to QRT on April 22.  As the journey getting there took much longer than anticipated the team have announced they can stay a few extra days.  QRT around Thursday April 25.  A progressive QRT will mean one station will go off then the next etc... so that at least one HF station can be kept running till the end.

160M for JA - We have noted the JA requests re 160M operation and wish to advise that we will be listening down for JA on 1822.3MHz around 1300 - 1730 just prior to the USA path.

20M - There will be less operation on this band for the simple reason; most people already have VK9M on 20.  This will allow us to concentrate on bands that are more sought after.

Conditions - HF band conditions have been rather poor in the last 24 hours due to the large flares earlier in the week creating a high absorption.  Hopefully conditions will settle down for what will be a busy weekend.

Not In The Log? - This is a problem that is common with all DXpeditions running big pile-ups.  We've prepared a few tips on how to avoid this situation with not only us but any other DXpedition you're trying to get in your log.  Check out Not In The Log.
