EDITORIAL:

• PICNIC: Our New Year’s Picnic will be held on Saturday January 17.

• ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: How would you like to help AHARS along? Our Honourable Treasurer, Hans Smit, will be retiring, so there’s an opportunity for a keen amateur to join up with a fine bunch of people (your management committee), and help our grand society continue successfully. Hans will happily mentor any person who volunteers to stand for the vacant Treasurer post. Of course, any member is welcome to  stand for any position on the committee.
   
• I've had an offer to help with the club newsletter and website. This is good news for me and great news for our readers: We can expect an improvement in the quality of our hard copy and on-line publications.
   
• Best wishes to members and their families for a Happy Christmas and fulfilling 2009.
