I hold and operate ( well occasionaly ) Amateur Radio station VK4CJS. It is normally located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.( 27 33m 28s South, 153 04m 23s East or QG62mk)
This station is classified as "rare DX", which means I am not often heard on the radio. I spend too much time argueing with the computers here, investigating genealogy ,or presently looking for work.
Normally, I am active in two Australian contests each year. These are the John Moyle Memorial Field Day Contest (March) and The Jack Files Memorial Contest later in the year, I am also occasionaly heard during the Rememberence Day Contest.
When active this station is either operatable on 2m and 70cm from home, competing with noisy powerlines, a lousy RF horizon and trees, or 2m, 70cm, 23cm as a portable. Once I get a few computer related projects completed, I will be getting gear completed for the 3 cm and 1.5 cm bands, with multi-mode modulators and demodulators. This is in preparation for hopefully setting some Australian records.
