Whether you use a shortwave radio or listen to streaming audio on the net there's plenty of interesting things to listen to from around the globe!

CBC Radio - I still think its the best around!

      - The British Broadcasting Corporation's homepage...you know "the beeb"

Deutsche Welle from Germany   - Deutsche Welle from Germany.

Radio Havana Cuba (You can find the scripts for Arne Coro CO2KK's "DX'ers Unlimited" radio programme for hams & SWL's).  .

Radio Havana Cuba (unofficial page)

World Radio Network   - Live and archived audio streams from international radio broadcasters around the world.

Garrison Kielor's " A Prairie Home Companion " produced by Minnesota Public Radio (in my humble opinion...the best thing on American Radio!).   You'll hear everything from Jazz, to bluegrass, to opera to polka bands along with Garrison Kielor's tall tales about the mythical town of Lake Wobegon "where the women are strong, the men are good looking and all the children are above average".

The show is run live from 5 - 7 pm Central Time on Saturdays in Real Audio on the PHC website.  Also, the previous week's show is archived in Real Audio.   You can  catch the programme on member stations of Public Radio International across the United States. Many of the stations close to the northern border can be heard in Canada.  In the Toronto area, CJRT-FM 91.1 carries the programme from 6-8 pm Saturdays and in the noon-2 pm time slot on Sundays.

AFRO-POP.ORG -  These folks stream some really great African pop music on their website.

AFRICA NO. 1 - From Libreville, Gabon.  This powerhouse station used to blast in to North America on the shortwave bands in the late afternoon during the 1980's.   This station to a large degree introduced me and many other shortwave radio enthusiasts to the wonderful music from Africa.   Sadly they've cut back their shortwave broadcasts and aren't heard in North America as well as they used to.  They do however stream their programming on their website via Windows Media Player and Real Audio.
