crazy hams who like to get a head start on winter
by operating from rare "CQ Zone 2" in the annual CQ World-Wide SSB
Contest
at the end of October each year. We operated using the
callsign VB2R in
2000, VB2V in 2001, VC2C in 2002 and VB2C in 2003. There was no
operation in 2004 and a small "multi-single" operation using the
callsign VA2VFT in 2005.
CONTEST CLUB OF ONTARIO - This is a new informal club for Ontario ham radio contesters. To join the Yahoogroup just send a "blank" e-mail to [email protected]
QSO parties are laid-back and friendly amateur radio contests where hams chase other hams in the various counties of a particular province or state. If you are in the province or state holding the QSO party then you "work the world". If you're an "outsider" then you chase the stations operating from the location of the QSO party. "QSO parties" are a great introduction to amateur radio contesting for new hams!
