The Tar River Amateur Radio Club (TRARC) is a society of amateur (ham) radio operators located in and around Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The membership is composed of hams that live in Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Nashville, Castalia, Wilson, Raleigh, and other surrounding small towns in this mostly rural community.

Formed in 1989, TRARC is active in many events throughout the year. Aside from regular club meetings on the second Monday of each month, the club has many members that are active with ARES. Monthly meetings may include an interesting presentation of a ham-related topic for discussion and education.

Membership is open to any licensed amateur radio operator and associate membership is available to any interested person wishing to pursue an amateur radio license. Dues are $15 per year and include a monthly newsletter. TRARC is an ARRL-affiliated club.

Please join us at the next regular club meeting at the Red Cross Office, 326 S. Franklin Street, in Rocky Mount. Talk-in on 145.290-, PL Tone 107.2. Hope to see you there!
