Informational Listing of Simplex Users and Nets
This note is an attempt to explain just what TASMA is
doing with the Simplex Operation on Two Meters. This is not an attempt to assign or even coordinate simplex nor is it an attempt to channelize the band. It is simply a list of currently known simplex users, just a catalog of existing simplex operations in SoCA.
Why? Well the band is crowded. Yes, even the simplex operation is very crowded. For instance, you can not find a wide area frequency for 24/7 Code Practice. If you wanted to have a net for the discussion of "Betas and their color" on Friday nights at 7 PM, what frequency would you use? Well, hopefully this simplex catalog will help you find a frequency without having to try 2 dozen first, just to find out you were interferring with some other nets.
TASMA is mandated by the Amateur Community to perform
frequency management on Two Meters. This simplex catalog is an attempt to provide a service for all of its Users.

This area has been set aside and generally know as the
Weak Signal area of the band. A long-standing gentleman's agreement that SSB would stay within this area and that FM'ers should avoid using this area for simplex.
