Field Day 2018 will be held on Friday, 22 June 2018 from 1900-2000 Local for antenna rope hanging, Saturday, 23 Jun 2018 at 1000 Local, when set up began, and ends on Sunday, 24 Jun 2018 at 1400 Local at Park View High School in Sterling, VA.

The Plan
27 May 18:  Updated on 9 10 15 20 21  and extensively modified on 22 June.  The draft plan is the same plan as last year, with a few minor modifications.    We need volunteers to help and operators to work the radios.

The Tech Raffle
n addition to all the other activities, we will hold a field day raffle.  The raffle is open to all technician class hams and to enter the raffle, they have to make at least one QSO from our field day site.  We hope this will generate some additional traffic to the GOTA station and stimulate some interest among techs who have not progressed in their amateur radio experience. 
We will have a jar and slips of paper for the entry forms.  The raffle prize will be a Baefeng radio suitable for use by technician class operators.
