SCCARA in the 1940's -- our third decade

Just like during World War 1, Amateur Radio was shut down during World War 2.   So this was a short decade.

Envelope -- with the postmark date of November 25, 1947 -- from the FCC to SCCARA's Station Trustee.
The contents are missing, but the date and the fact that it's to our Trustee strongly suggests it had to do with SCCARA's club license and our reactivation after World War 2.   SCCARA lost its W6SV call sign during that hiatus.   We got our new call sign, W6UW, around that time.   It was first listed in the Callbook in 1948.

A couple of QSL cards to SCCARA.   These were from Field Day June 1949.   Both indicate our new call sign W6UW.

SCCARA was an exhibitor of Amateur Radio in the second annual and fifth annual Santa Clara County Fair, Sept. 17-22, 1946, and Sept. 12-18, 1949.

This is when we got SCCARA incorporated, most of the work involved getting our bylaws and Articles in order

Our Constitution pre-1947.   That is, what we started with in 1947.

Our Bylaws as amended 1947 and 1948.

CA tax exempt form 130, for a non-profit organization.

Correspondence regarding our Articles of Incorporation.

Bylaws of SCCARA, Jan. 5, 1947.

Articles of Inc. drawn up by our lawyer, Jan. 10, 1947.

Our Articles filed with the CA Secretary of State, Jan. 16, 1947.

Our Articles of Incorporation, 1947.
