Scottish Court in the Netherlands

Kamp van Zeist in the province of Utrecht, the Netherlands, officially was declared British territory under Scottish law.
It used to be an air force base.

Effective 1998-11-14 the Netherlands and the United Kingdom made an agreement which placed the location under Scottish law.
The United Nations Security Council requested both countries to enable the "Lockerbie trail" to be held in the Netherlands before a Scottish court.

Guards, military and police were from the UK.
The Netherlands only facilitated the location.

Scottish Court in The Netherlands. Kamp van Zeist in de provincie Utrecht werd officieel tot Brits territorium waar Schots recht geldt benoemd. Het was voorheen een luchtmacht basis. Ingaande 14-11-1998 sloten Nederland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk een overeenkomst die deze locatie onder Schots recht plaatste. Het United Nations Security Council verzocht aan beide landen het mogelijk te maken het Lockerbie Proces in Nederland te voeren voor een Schotse rechtbank. Bewaking, militairen en politie kwamen uit het Ver. Koninkrijk. Nederland leverde alleen de locatie.
