  Who Am I

I was born in Indonesia (Former Nederlands Indie) in 1935. Father was a military man in the Royal Dutch Army (KNIL), Mother was half local and half Dutch girl.

I went to school for the first time after WOII at the age of 10. We did the first 4 classes in 2 years.
In 1947 the family came to Holland and lives there since then. At school, I was the oldest pupil in class. But luckily I manage to become a marine engineer at the age of 18 and spend 6 years on various ships in the engine room. After that I worked at an oil refinery in Rotterdam and retired at the age of 58.
Now I live in Hoogvliet, A suburb of Rotterdam.

I have 1 wife and 4 kids, 3 daughters and 1 son. Now, 2006, there are 4 grandchildren and 2 great grand child.
