Today I did reconfigure my VLF RX PC from a VLF (22k1Hz
= GQD) Sync freq/ Source into a GPS (1PPS) Sync freq/ Source. In my oppinion it is worth to invest in a GPS modul like that SKM52.
Pse take notice to today's results... DJ8WX is here QRV at 8270.005 (at 190 KM distance)
and my own signal at 8270.015 Hz ( local backyard DX over 20 meter
distance ).
There are much more breaks and is more dispersion visible while I was using 22k1Hz GQD as reference.
The 22K1 inlay was recorded 28 January 2014
The 1PPS was recorded one day later at 29 January 2014
If you take a look at this 47 uHz window, you understand what I mean.
A needle sharp trace while using a 1 PPS signal from the GPS, but much
more dispersion wile GQD at 22k1Hz signal was used as SR-cal. My local
generated backyard DX signal at 8270.015 Hz and DJ8WX at 8270.005 Hz.

I Today I did order a SKM52 GPS modul from Hans
Summers his website.
http://www.hanssummers.com/ultimategps2
I like to use it as SR-cal source for Spectrum
Lab.
I did grab the pictures below from Hans, G0UPL his
website, but take attention to the size. The modul has the size of
a post stamp or thumbnail !
