One of the first projects the LCARG took upon was to ensure there was county wide coverage through a network of repeaters.

The first repeater was setup in Hobbs and was linked into another local repeater for a crossband system.  Due to equipment issues, that was a shortlived.

The next repeater online was the Jal repeater.  This repeater also has the capability to link into the West Texas Connection.  This allows for direct communication into the National Weather Service in Midland during Skywarn operations.

The W5COW repeater located in Artesia was linked in to the Jal site.  This allows Eddy County communication into the West Texas Connection as well.

The KBIM site was added to the mix in 2015.  The antenna is located at 1,600' and provides excellent coverage in many places in the region.  The KBIM tower at one time was listed as the tallest antenna structure in the world.
