OK, it's been awhile since I added a Storm Chase page, but this week has been really
exciting around the Washington, DC area.  Tornadoes last Tuesday (22nd of May) and
last Friday (25th).  Yesterday was interesting, but not too much.  Today I finally got out
and chased some of the best storms in Montgomery County this year.

By going to the pictures page you'll see all the pictures I took today.  Some may take a
while to load as I took them with my new digital camera and I haven't learned how to
compress the images yet.  In fact, most of my images are not compressed on the entire
web site, but I'm still learning.

The images I took include mostly cloud shots.  There are a few other shots like rainbox
sunset pictures.  No hail, tornadoes, or stong wind shots here.  But still interesting none-
the-less.  Enjoy, and don't forget to check out my other Storm Chase pages.--jsf.

UPDATE:
I later found out that a Tornado did in-fact touch down about 20 minutes after the
picture below (middle) was taken in the Olney area.  I should have intercepted the tornado, except
that I chose to follow the storm more toward the south into the Wheaton and Kensington
areas.  Oh, well.  I was still statisfied and I didn't have to go out to the Great Plains this
year to see some decent storms.  So far this year, Maryland has had 5 tornadoes, just
shy of the average 6.

Here's just a few pictures: (click on the picture to view them full size)

Here is three photographs combined into one (using Adobe Photoshop) to show how big this
cluster of thunderstorms where.  I'm not use to seeing these storms in the Mid-Atantic.  Though
not nearly the size of Tornado Alley's Supercell storms, these were rather large, and had
damaging winds, hail, and even a downburst or two.  Click on the image to see it full size.
