Another pass time of mine is sea fishing I enjoy it very much.I get my self down to Whitby which is about 30 miles from here quiet regularly. Then stand freezing for hours on end on one of the piers. Have tried fly fishing and also enjoy that especially dry fly its amazing to see a trout take your fly as it lands on the surface of the water. Used to fish of the back of the ship in the navy never knew what you where going to pull up. but the chinese laundry man would always want them to eat, and you got a reduction on your dhoby bill. The type of fish we catch up here on the North East coast are varried.Cod, whiting and flat fish making up the bulk of it. Mind you Cod at the moment are like chickens teeth, they have been totally overfished in the last few years. Not I might add by British trawlers but the rest of our European cousins who appear not to know the right size of net to use..(must be all that metric).hihi
