Slide 7

These items are those we prepared as a list of the easiest to instrument, possibly more reliable of the numerous precursor signal candidates, and was the result of a several-year period of studying research papers dealing with these, and many other earthquake precursor phenomena. It was pared down using the criteria of the last slide, and other factors.
The items above are those where we have built instruments, and/or have done experiments, with the primary focus still on the electromagnetic sensor.
Considerable effort was spent on building and testing the ion counter.  I believe one of our conclusions is that it may be too delicate an instrument for unattended deployment in the field for lengthy periods.

We did build and calibrate a fairly sensitive electrometer from SAS plans, but have not done any extensive tests with it.

The next few slides will describe earlier work by professionals working with ELF electromagnetic signal detection.
