Amateur Radio

I hold a General class Amateur Radio License, and am 15 years old. I got my ticket on November 30th, 1995. My Father and Mother are also licensed Amateur radio Ops., KF4FDF, and KF4RAS. My Mom says that stands for KF4 Roving Amateur Station. I operate 2 Meters, and 70cm with a Kenwood TM-733A. I operate 220MHz with an ancient KDK-FM4033. I operate 6 Meters and HF with a Kenwood TS-570S. A beautiful rig. I also operate 2 Meter packet with a Kenwood TM-241A and an AEA PK-12. I run my station off of 3 110 amp hour gel cell batteries in emergencies, and off of a Alinco DM-340MV in regular weather. Where I live in the Mountains of North Carolina there are a lot of power outages but we have only had one...and that one was only 30 minutes long! I think it is because we live about 2 miles as the crow flies to the Power co-op.

Here are some good Amateur Radio sites, Including the club that I used to belong to when I lived in Monroe, NC.

Labrador Retrievers

I have a lovely 20 week old Yellow Lab named Jasper. At the moment I am training her to Sit, Stay, and Come. She is quite a handful. I hope to have here somewhat trained by this summer so that my younger Brothers and Sister can go outside without being afraid of being mauled by my beast. On the subject of animals we, we meaning me and my family...I don't have a mouse in my pocket...hihi, have 4 goats, one of my brothers has one rabbit and my sister has one cat. The cat hates my dog Jasper, but Jasper would like to play with her. The cat just doesn't like the way Jasper plays with her.

Here are some great Dog URL's.
