My cat's favorite flavor
Friskies Tin 2 (my cat's name is Zener)
Some specifics about my Friskies Tin 2:
Antenna connector = BNC
Receiver connector = RCA
Power connector = coaxial DC power conn.
Transistors = Motorola 2N2222A (I've got a hundred of these)
Crystal socket = ceramic HC6/U type (pilfered from an old Motorola Civil Defense radio)
Knurled nuts and standoffs allow easy access to guts
I used NorCal's sugested layout on perfboard and direct soldered
I wound the transformer and 1.36uH inductor
Originally used Mouser's 43HH25 for the 22uH ind. but later wound my own
Silver Mica for critical caps.
Power Source = 12v via homebrew regulated PS for bench operation
Output Frequency: 7030 kHz (listen for me in the evenings when I'm tinkering in my shack, but be patient with me, I've got CQ CQ CQ KD7REM KD7REM CQ CQ CQ K down real well, anything else may be QSD.)
