Upcoming Meetings
August 4, 2004
We will be making some changes to the sky loop antenna we
have on top of the Sessions building. We have recently obtained an Icom
AT-130 automatic antenna tuner/coupler from Bonneville County. The
sky loop will be modified and lengthened to about 800 ft to become long
wire antenna which will be connected to the AT-130 for use on all HF bands.
Past Meetings
JULY 7, 2004
The meeting started with with Alan Fielding discussing the
status of the recently repaired 146.64 repeater. The processor board in
the repeater was loosing power causing the repeater to register power failures.
A chip and some capacitors were replaced to repair the problem. Alan was
also looking for volunteers for retrieving the antenna for the 146.74 repeater
from it's previous location on Taylor hill. Anyone interested in helping
with the retrieval of the antenna can meet at the end of Shelley-Taylor
Road about 1/2 mile east of the Taylor Cemetery as the base of Taylor Hill.

for a map. It along with the repeater will be moved to Alan's brothers
home east of Firth which will help get it away from the interference of
103.3 and 105.5 commercial radio stations that were at the previous repeater
site. Coverage should improve over the present location at Alan's house.
New locations are being looked into and help from other amateurs is requested
to test the coverage once the repeater is moved.
