The CT-22
Dual Lever Paddle
I started out with a just straight key. When I got serious in trying my hand out on CW, I looked at quite a number of paddles. With staying with in a budget, I finally settled on a CT-22 from the Ukraine.
The CT-22 is a beauty. I went out and bought a clear plastic display box to show it off in when not in use. Its has a beautiful gold tone finish on a flat black base. Nice and heavy and very sturdy construction. Well machined. I hooked it up to my FT-757GXII and it worked very nicely and even better after making some fine tune adjustments. I found that the FT-847 does not have the same feature like my FT-757GXII. It does not have the feature to practice code without transmitting. Even if you run it to a dummy load from the FT-847, this was not recommended by Yaesu or a posting I read at the FT-847 Home Page.
