KITS - I enjoy building kits, so I have done extensive searching for kits. I will put a note if I have ordered a certain kit from one of these web sites. I have only done a couple so far.

Small Wonder Labs , This is a great outfit with which to deal. I have built Dave's SW 20+ kit and his DSW 30 Kit.I had a few problems with the first kit, but Dave gave me great support and we got it working quite well. I have even had a QSO as far away as the Canary Islands, and I am in CT, not far from NYC. I had no problems with the second kit at all, the DSW and I put that together in one day and had QSO's the next day. Dave has a very good product and great support.

 

Embedded Research I have built one of the TiCK4 Keyer kits from here and I am extremely satisfied with the results. The kit was very simple to build, it fits into an Altoids tin with a 9 volt batter too. As far as I can tell, this keyer can be used successfully with any CW radio.

I needed no assistance, and that is saying something for the first kit attempt. the Kit was called Kit Boo.

I purchased a kit that had missing parts and parts that did not belong to it and it sits unfinished in my shack as a reminder to thoroughly check a kit before proceding to do any soldering. I have not yet been able to attain all of the proper parts for this kit. I got fed up with thier attitude about the situation. They seemed to think that I should be happy with what I got even though it is useless. Perhaps one day I will try it with substitution parts. I might be surprised.
