My name is Steve Carter. Also known as KA4IQD in the world of ham radio. I was born in Bowling Green, Ky. on October 24, 1960. My family moved back to Louisville, Ky. not long after I was born. All my early memories are from Louisville and I've always considered it my home town. I lived in the Louisville area for almost 37 years before moving to Somerset, Oh. in the summer of '97.

I moved to Ohio to marry a young lady I met on the Internet. Her name is Julie and we met via a personal ad. That was the fall of '96. We enjoyed our conversations on the Internet and decided to meet in person in February of '97. We continued to see each other and things went from there. We were married on December 20, 1997 in Rushville, Ohio at the home of her parents. It's the first  marriage for both of us. For those of you who  wonder about meeting people on the internet let me tell you that it can work. :-)
