Located near Mastins Corner on the ATC 350' tower it is 19 miles South west of Fredericksburg Va.

146.775 Repeater

The shack on the left was built by W1ZFB and K4MQF as a joint effort to provide the area with a local area repeater. It operates at 146.775 (output) with a 146.175 (-600hz) input and with a PL tone of 79.7 (changed)

The shack also is home for the 6 meter repeater reciever.

 

 

The Transmitter is a GE Rangr 110 watt transmitter turned down to 65 watts

You can see the summer cooling fans in place

 

 

The receiver is a Hamtronics R302-2 receiver. Tuned to 146.175 with a Tone board set to 79.7

The NHRC 4 Controller is a dual repeater controller that is being used with one side for the repeater and the other for control.

 

 

 

Duplexer is a 4 can VHF Sinclair constructed in 1963 The harness has been completely rebuilt.2 cans are used to isloate 146.175 receiver from the APRS transmitter on 144.390

 

This site is a split antenna site.
Antenna 1 is located at 300 feet fed with
7/8” 75 ohm CTV hard-line and works the 2 meter rec and 6 meter rec.

Antenna 2 is located at 220 feet fed with 1 5/8” 50 ohm Andrews hard-line and is the 2 meter transmit antenna and uhf transmitter link for the 6 meter reciever on site.
