PACKET USING AUDIO CARD
In the following pages I'll
explain you how to use an audio card (Sound Blaster compatible) as a packet modem (1200
and 9600 baud); it's really a great thing; it's the best solution for the begginner
because it's very cheap (if you consider how expensive is a TNC..).
This is a list of some tested configurationes;
During the test I used Windows 95 +
Pentium 120MHz+Audio Card SB16 by Creative Labs (ISA Slot)
Pentium 166MHz+Audio Card with VIBRA16 chip,
so very common and 100% compatible cards.
FLEXNET + WINHN x PACKET 1200 (under Windows);
FLEXNET + WINFBB x PACKET 1200 (under Windows);
OTHER SOFTWARE;
PACKET 9600 BPS;
