Echoes from the Moon
This is a
picture taken with the "Echo mode" of WSJT when the Moon already was
below the optimal path of the old 4x6 elements array (extimated around 4° of elevation). The
echo was clearly audible even if the antennas were beaming in a particulary
noisy zone, between 100° and 160°, where I calculated a noise 4,5 db higher
than normal. When it's possible I try to avoid EME skeds when my Moon is inside
the previous range. Here, at the
bottom of the page, you can see the strongest echo I ever received from the
Moon running the new array 4x7 elements.
