I was fashinated of 2mt band, so step by step the interest to this excellen band increase and so also the equiment. I’m very active since 1998 in Tropo,ES,MS, FAI and AU, before my interest was only for tropo qso, but how says in Italy...appetite come when eating!!!! So I had must read and learn about the new mode as meteorscatter, sporadic E and FAI. I want spend few words about MS activity, I started after one year of qrv for learn the procedure and get a feeling with this new mode for do qso. So I must to wish some OM that had lot patience to teach me ! At first Lucio I8MPO, and after Roby IW2DVK (now IZ2FOB), Claudio I4XCC, Walter IW2BNA and Steffen DD0VF . Special tnx also Emilio IK0OKY because reading his Meteor Scatter write on Italian radio magazine , my curiosity began.About my first experience in Aurora , please take a look at Aurora page.I’m also a member of IK2ZVU VHF contest team in my local radio club ARI Lissone ( www.arilissone.it ).

In advance I want say tnx to my first teacher and friend Stenio I2OKW , the chief of radio station and very fine operator. Our station is inside the Technichal College “L. Enriques” , and infact the call ik2zvu is own of the school. Untill now we have not a great equipment, 20el Laret IC970h and 100W . But it’s enough for fun and win lot time in the School-section of some Italians contest. We hope to have new final amplifier soon and put up an antenna system.

Sometime I run also in the HF team IO2L , but my interest for short wave not so big, the twometer-virus level, still very high in my blood...hi!!
