Several years ago I used to collect mail stamps as well, but not much left of that and sometime I also play chess.
I like to walk, drive and visiting museums especially as castles.
I'm an amateur radio since 1991 and currently hold an Italian Full Class license as IK2XYU and a USA FCC General Class as KF6EEZ.
I used other call because traveling and the most famous are IK2XYU/BY1DX and IK2XYU/BY1PK from China.
Computer started to play games but developed time by time especially after my 10 years working at IBM, not as programmer but using them a lot.
I also know some HTML with CSS and very basic of Javascript
As amateur radio I have a DXCC diploma, I won the Romanian Contest in 1995 as first place, I did an ARDF contest in Belgium Maasmechelen (1998) and ARDF in my area for few times(Campionato Lombardia, Piemonte e Canton Ticino 1999-2000).
I used packet radio (digital communication) from 1991 to 2002 following the technology upgrade time by time.
I assume I did the first APRS mobile test in Italy from Milan to Cremona, and helped newcomers to that system, but this was few years ago ! APRS is Automatic Position Reporting System that help tracking objects on a map and sending short messages.
I was a teacher for future amateur radio teachning them at my local section of ARI about all items of the exam.
I usually go to Friedrichshafen (Germany) for the biggest European fair HAM RADIO (since more than 25 years) , but I also visited some other expo such as the Southeastern ARRL convention in Miami (1997), the Southwestern ARRL concention in Long Beach (1998), the DX convention in Visalia in 2001, the Concord Hamfest in 2001, the Monterey Hamfest in 2001.
I'm a member of A.R.I. - Associazione Radioamatori Italiana, with a 25 years membership certificate, and a former member of A.R.R.L. - American Radio Relay League from 2001 to 2005.
I'm also a former member of SOBARS in San Diego,CA in 1996-1997, and a former member of WVARA in San Jose,CA in 2001.
I was travelling because business so I accomodated my hobby in different areas.
