My Shack

Welcome to my shack. I'm sorry but the quality of the image is not so good, I'll replace it as soon as possible.

You can see (just a little effort...HI!) an IC706MK1 that I use for 6M DX with a 1/4 wave ground plane (yes I know that it's not the best way to do DX...) and for 2M DX with a 9 el Yagi mounted on a TV rotor.

There is also a Yaesu FT290RII, and a Kenwood R5000 for HF swl'ing (My swl call is I1-10330).

For FM LEO Sats I use a Kenwood TH-D7 with an Home made arrow antenna.

Not shown in the picture there are: an 80M Direct conversion RX, an airband RX, a 118-174Mhz RX, a 2M to 29Mhz converter, a 6M to 29Mhz converter, an HamComm - JVFax interface; all these equipments are Home made, sometimes with the precious help of my father Gianfranco IW1FQX.

There are moreover some computers: a Compaq Contura 430 portable PC and an AMD-based computer (You can see the keyboard).

There are of course Power supplies, SWR meters, cables, antenna switches and all the other instruments I use to buld and mantain my equipments ready to use.

The Lybrary includes many volumes of magazines (Radio Rivista, CQ Elettronica, RKE, SWL Magazine, Dubus, VHF Communication), The ARRL Handbook ('81,'89,'99), RSGB VHF-UHF Manual as well as Data Sheets, Internet documents and more...
