What's New

(*) New VHF Improvement

A new transceiver has been purchased for the VHF shack, a Kenwood TS-970E. ( 2m/70cm Multimode )

This rig is to replace the Icom IC-821 which was found to be very deaf !!!     ( This fact has  been registered by many amateurs on the internet.  Pity we were not aware of this when we originally bought the rig. )

This purchase will help improve the clubs VHF operation.    As we are already known to be a big 2m signal in the Isle of Wight ( And the continent during propagation lifts. )

Our problem was we couldn't hear them !   but now we can !!!!
