2: Is it simple to get going on 10GHz ? TopThe only equipment that you will require apart from your normal Colour TV is a receiver and suitable aerial. You may also require a pre-amplifier if you are not local to a source of Amateur TV
3: Do you really need to bother with "N" - Types TopYes, all you require is a suitable LNB that has been modified for reception in the 10GHz band.
4: Can you really turn LNB's around to TX ? TopYes..Yes..Yes they are an absolute must when you start to operate on these kind of frequencies.
5: Can you use a domestic Video camera or camcorder? TopYes, it is quite possible to turn an LNB around, and with suitable modifications apply Video and Audio sub-carrier. Not for the faint hearted...Look out for recent CQ-TV Articles.
6: What kind of things do people show on ATV ? TopYes, it's the source that most people use. You should be able to get a video signal from the camera to plug straight into your transmitter.
You may show anything that is of general/technical interest. This can include such things as holiday video etc. You should not transmit music, unless this is an incidental part of the original video film. ** You must never relay any commercial or copyright video **
