Hello my name is David Lockwood and I am from Dewsbury in West Yorkshire in Northern England. I was born on 22nd March 1956, under the sign of Aries. For those of you that are interested, I also have Moon in Leo, and Aquarius rising.

I have been "into" Amateur Radio since the '70s, and I was first licensed as G8FSO in 1971. From the start, I attended the meetings of the Wakefield & District Radio Society (G1WRS/G3WRS) and at one time was on the RSGB's Repeater Management Committee. That was quite a few years ago, and at the time, my main interest in this hobby was with packet radio. In 1997, I suffered a massive brain haemorrhage, which put paid to any activity in this hobby, or for that matter, any other! Luckily, my family practised a healing technique known as "Reiki", which brought marvellous results, and as a consequence, I am now more or less fully recovered! My heartfelt thanks to Diane, Alex, Shirley and all my other friends and family for their efforts, because, it is not an overstatement to say that without them, I wouldn't be here today!
