Sources of Information and Parts

Information Sources - 1

A good source of technical information may be had from the RSGB and ARRL Handbooks, If you are interested in valve technology then go for editions as far back as the 1950s whereas if your interests are primarily sold state then the more recent editions are fine. The latter have very limited valve information, mostly concerned with transmitter power amplifiers.

I have one copy of each for each decade from the 1930s to date and find them extremely useful.

Google or an alternative Internet search engine can provide access to a vast amount of technical data but some skills are required in honing your search phrase to obtain the best results.

Most search engines have an advanced area where more complex search parameters may be entered.
